I just wonder why David Schwimmer, as the largest male Friend actor, didn't etc. etc. 

Ooh, buddy. Having been gifted my own permanent colostomy bag at age 38, I can tell you, there’s nothing convenient about them. Especially if - for whatever reason - one bursts on you in public. Even if you have the forethought to have a spare on you, changing it is not a quick, simple or pleasant experience.
