Respect to Shane Hawkins. My Hero can be a tough song. It’s basically pumping straight 16th notes on the kick drum through the entire verse and chorus.

A nice piece. One big question: how is that last bit “acoustic”? It’s clearly an electric guitar. Come on, AV Club. This kind of mistake didn’t happen when you were still in Chicago.

Kenan will never leave!

I saw her in one of those JC Penny commercials and I was like “Good for her...wait, how is JC Penny still a thing? Haven’t they closed like 10x now?”

I mean, the show open took like 3 minutes to get through last season because the cast list was so incredibly long.

I don’t think Athari pissed anyone off, but I can see SNL not being a great fit for him. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw him elsewhere sometime soon.

I actually saw Moffat in some indie movie where he visits his uncle on a farm in WI who turns out to be a murder. Moffat was not great in it, and I was really surprised to see him on SNL shortly after. Maybe he’ll surprise us. For some people SNL is a box.

Yeah, which I found kind of odd, since Villasenor can do a ton of different characters, whereas Aidy Bryant had about three - two accents and herself.

Who is left on the show, all the main people are gone

Melissa was always funny but SNL seemed to only really put Aidy Bryant as the main woman in almost any skit with a famous person.

Melissa Villasenor wasn’t a shock, given how vocal she was about not getting airtime last summer. Maybe she made enough money off those JC Penney commercials that she feels comfortable moving on. Alex Moffat is a funny guy, but he seems destined to play generic 4th lead in a few movies, then do a sitcom that flops.

Felt like the writing was on the wall for him when his best character, Angelo, kept showing up in the “cut for time” sketches on YouTube. I’m not sure the guy appeared in a live sketch the last month of the season.

Not surprised Melissa Villaseñor is leaving, she was bizarrely underused but it’s been a crowded cast. Mmaybe she’ll find her own path post-SNL, like Jenny Slate has. Sometimes it’s just no the right fit.

So from what I’ve seen the last few seasons Strong is once again going to have to carry the show?

Oh, I liked Aristotle. :( Was hoping he’d see more time next season.

South Park did it.

They ought to write into copyright law that every work that enters the public domain must immediately be adapted into a low-budget slasher movie.

They are now a Cousin Oliver and shaggy dog from completing Sitcom Death Spiral Bingo.

That’s kinda messed up right?

Murray died on the way back to his home planet.
