Maybe the main 3 kids were in a similar situation, but I’d hardly use Lee Jordan as an example of a child “star.” And Emma Watson has had a pretty similar career to Radcliffe. She was in a high-profile Disney movie, a Sophia Coppola film, had a fun cameo in This Is The End, and was in the very popular Little Women

I’ll re-watch Miracle Workers 10x before Harry Potter gets another spin.

Is there really anyone else who starred in such a massive franchise child role? I can think of some former child actors who are currently more successful (Christian Bale, Scarlett Johansen, Natalie Portman), but there aren’t really any other child actors (successful or not) who starred in such a big franchise.

Al is in the trailer in multiple clips as a record executive that signs Weird Al. He’s heavily involved with it.

So you’re saying it’s (wait for it)...unusual?

because...
The AV Club.

That’s almost as many people as it takes to write a Beyoncé song!

He has writer and producer credits. He’s just one of 11 producers but I feel like the writing validates the headline.

Just give them all the Oscars now. This is a fucking masterpiece

He wrote the biopic with director Eric Appel so it’s not totally off base.

Um, that “talent manager played by Rainn Wilson constantly sports a red bow tie and top hat”, is Dr. Demento. How could you not know that?

Pretty sure Rainn Wilson is dressed like that because he’s playing Dr. Demento, who is usually seen dressed like that. But that doesn’t really make it that much less absurd.

Daniel Radcliffe is easily having the best “post-massive franchise child role” career of anyone and it’s surprisingly joyful to see all these completely weird and wonderful roles he does for seemingly no reason other than they’ll be a laugh.

Greta Job Internet is over at Earther

Remember when “Greta Job Internet” featured cool amateur documentaries on YouTube or careful crafted oral histories of some piece of pop culture?

This is a bad sign. If people are already ironically nostalgic for Michael Bay’s Transformers, it won’t be long before they’re unironically nostalgic for Michael Bay’s Transformers.

That’s because that song (or really any other song on “Brothers in Arms”) is always worth listening to.

I feel ya. I felt the same about the Morbius memes (“It’s Morbin’ time!”, etc) almost immediately after that became a thing.

At least you spelled ‘Linkin Park’ and ‘What I’ve Done’ right this time, unlike your colleague...

I prefer the Walk of Life project myself.
