It shouldn’t be a shock at this point that Steve Carell is a pretty good actor. Maybe it’s overlooked or not really examined at all, but dude kind of crushes it in the The Morning Show.

“But Samaritan finally comes roaring to life in its final half hour, with a simultaneously bonkers and fairly clever plot twist”
We don’t live in a good enough timeline to have Astro City adapted.
Samaritan, though, is that it’s not adapted from a comic book
it’s perhaps inevitable that Stallone would venture beyond his niche, and leap into the commercially thriving realm of the superhero movie.
Well you’re certainly entitled to your (TOTALLY WRONG BULLSHIT) opinion.
Maybe it was a transcription error? (as the “[song]” was inserted) Loggins may have just meant that to him, Dylan represents the quintessential rebel or concept of rebelliousness.
Yeah, for fuck’s sake. Not just Kenny’s seminal performance as K-Log, but also one of the greatest tribute vids ever:
I mean, he was in it like 8 seasons ago in one episode. I wouldn’t have minded except that the new season is literally a day away from starting.
Seriously! How the fuck do you not bring up “Archer?” He was in the damn show!
Thank you - it’s good great musicians (too) can make attributional mistakes, too.

The only reason to do a movie about a few teachers and some former, now graduated students of a small, crappy, quirky community college is if they go really big with it. My idea? Pierce never actually died, but his cult, Reformed Neo Buddhism, kept him and several others within a secret underground complex that the…
“Yeah, it’s tough to pinpoint if that flanderization happened because Pierce was gone, or if it’s just that Chase left around the time that a sitcom like Community would naturally start getting more cartoonish.”
I was practically eviscerated ‘round these parts for saying something similar, but made the crucial error of referring to Pierce as the “best character” (in the functional sense of him driving most of the plots forward and providing conflict). Hoo boy.
I’d like to think the decline of the latter three seasons had more to do with behind the scenes issues than Dan Harmon running out of great ideas. “#sixseasonsandamovie” is truly living up to its miraculous name.
I came here for this comment, and the bittersweet nostalgia it would trigger for the AV Club that once was.
I got a Community notification for this!

As for the movie...as much as the later seasons of Community could get kind of “meh” I thought it had a great…
