Did people seriously believe that those movie star actors would drop by that show, though? Or that Joss Whedon, who's preparing Avengers 2 (I guess), would really be the creative force behind S.H.I.E.L.D.? If that was the expectation, then it was really optimistic.

I know what you mean. I re-read some preboot Batman recently and I was almost blown away by the presence of things like consistent character behavior and well-paced plotting. Which is pretty sad. And yet I probably never gonna love DC as much as I love Marvel, even if the titles are better, which is also pretty sad.

That's the thing, though. I can't just "let go" of being a lifelong Batman fan. I should probably read a couple more comics in an effort to become less depressed about the state of things, but that's where my interest is.

Yeah no, I completely agree. Zero Year is insanely fun, and I love how Snyder is slowly building Batman's familiar universe around him (love Capullo's art as well).
