Historically, the military was always very secular and pro democracy. Things Erdogan with his current policies trampled on. This is probably them defending the values of Kemal Atatürk (again).

Really? Starting a war with the Kurds AGAIN over The Sultan’s little plot to gain even more power. Bombing everything BUT ISIS. etc....... The list goes on and on. Erdogan has shown a lot of bad judgement over the last months/years while being blinded by his own vanity.
My thoughts exactly. I was wondering for quite a while now when they would step up to the little Sultan.
Some London nightclub owner spent 1.5 million pounds on “PEN 15" in the late ‘90s. Considering inflation, I see it as being in the same ballpark (ridiculous money for a special plate). At least it resembled a word that can be seen as vaguely offending.
Best idea I’ve read so far.
It’s all a lie, an “Emperor’s new clothes” thing so to speak. Since the late 80s there have been no new Audis. They decided that the B3 was the best they could ever do and continued to build it to this day. Every couple years there’s a press release about a re-design but that’s it. Just look at it, it’s the same car…
Wow, just wow! But how is this efficient? They spend so much time cramming one more person in. The train could have left some 30-40 seconds earlier if they wouldn’t bother. Imagine this happening at every station once they hit peak commute. Losing 30 seconds at EVERY station means something like losing 3 or 4 or maybe…
The fun thing is that Merc will install it in their cars nonetheless. They will just disable it until the patent runs out at the end of the year.
These are meant to lower your beams, so that when you have something heavy in the trunk, they don’t aim at the sky. Got mandatory in the 90s.
Two fun facts:
Look again!
Exactly, the plate on the Audi is a provisional plate. Date of expiry is in the red block on the right. They are commonly used to export cars out of the country.
Bingo.
Yep. Bayern. 40 kms east of Munich.
German rental cars don’t have a questionable service history. They have no service history at all. They get bought, rented out for 3-6 months until the first service is due, and then sold at auction.
