About 15 years ago, I also delivered pizzas. For better corporate identity, we had company vehicles (tiny Fiat Cinquecentos), some with radios, some without. Most of the drivers would come in early to get one of the cars with a radio. I've seen 18 y/o boys nearly burst into tears for not getting a car with a radio.
As I said, yesterday,I am all for impounding these cars. I also think, that impounding them for just 7 days, is a bad joke. IMHO, the cars should be impounded until these kids' court dates, which should be postponed as long as legally possible.

At uni, I once had to write a paper, largely based on this book. All I remember, is that the working conditions back then, were utterly unbearable by today's standards. I've heard of 60's British cars that arrived at dealerships without passenger side door cards, because the workers, responsible for these, had been on strike, and other such shenanigans.
