This Fiat’s record of 424 mph set in 1933 STANDS TO THIS DAY. The 50 liter, 3,100 hp V-24 engine was composed of two V-12’s bolted together, and powered contra-rotating props. The engine runs from essentially the windscreen to the props,... giving a near perfect 50% / 50% engine to plane ratio. LOL
