I see people replying here saying that even asking for the FOB was OK...I live in a building, you need a FOB, for the life of me I have never “closed the door behind me” to stop someone from entering, or asked someone for “proof” to follow behind me. Even that seems insane. Am I the weird one here?

Precisely. I’ve run into this a hundred times at work, in rehearsal studios, at apartments: you don’t know someone, you don’t let them in. You politely ask them to use their own key/fob and you close the door. Then you walk away because nothing that happens after that is your business. I’ve had that done to me

When the officer (who was black) showed up, it seemed as though Walker didn’t have much to say:

I cannot believe (*sigh* yes I can) that people are fixated on, “but did he wear socks IN the pool?” as opposed the fact that the (thankfully fired) apartment manager is a blatant racist.

He actually didn’t have his socks on in the pool. He was wearing them at the pool.

Amy Schumer, come get your racist sister.

Hmm. I wonder how the grays will make excuses for this one? Perhaps he was concealing razor sharp toenails.

I love the self righteous ‘you’re being ridiculous’ look she’s giving them. Complete with hands on hips.

This makes me think of those celeb kids who try to act like hard work is the only reason they’re successful 😒

Sorry, bullshit. I was an agent in Hollywood for 10 years and repped Eva Marcille and my agency was the first to sign Analeigh Tipton. Both of those girls only got meetings with us because of the ANTM credit. Analeigh didn’t even win and my boss tracked her down, brought her in, and signed her because our dept was

Adam Lambert, also.

Hello, she was on Cycle 21, and was shocked that it was a reality show instead of a launching pad for a modeling career? Fans of the show knew that by Cycle 3. And we kept watching (for a while, anyway), because seeing super pretty people freak out is highly entertaining - and every season there’d be at least one

I can barely name any of the AI winners/runners-up but Carrie Underwood’s career is just as strong as Clarkson’s. Fantasia Barrino does alright and, of course, Jennifer Hudson won an Oscar. But they’re certainly the outliers.

“It was really a reality TV show. That’s not what I signed up for,” Harlow said on WWHL.

Yeah, there have been a decent number of non-winners that have had real careers. A lot of it is due to increased exposure from the show so this all feels a bit disingenuous. I understand that Tyra herself didn’t shepherd their careers but the show definitely helped them!

Eh, I think she’s being disingenuous. Before the show she had a following but no career, then she appears on the show and had a following and also a career. Since tons of people with followings never get more out of it, I’d be inclined to give the show credit for the change.
