Yeah, it’s not. It’s really Wooster (though WUH-ster or WUH-stah is probably a more accurate phonetic spelling.) It actually goes back to how that shit was pronounced in England. Same reason Gloucester is pronounced GLAH-ster. And I’m from Connecticut, where we still have all our Rs, and I say WUH-ster.
