I don’t think she was saying she had never been in a relationship. She is a straight woman who has never lived with a man, and we DO live ina society where women who make that choice, or who have no choice in the matter, are viewed as faulty.

I think she makes a good point, if in an incredibly condescending way. Like I do not enjoy wearing makeup because it feels uncomfortable but I love how I look.. I like the ritual of shaving my legs. But WHY do I like it? Because it is interesting that what I love to do lines up perfectly with what a sexist culture

I think it is more like....I enjoy shaving. But why? Would I enjoy it if it weren’t expected of me?

That is a bit of a presumptuous question to ask a random person. No. I am not into open relationships. I am saying a random one night stand is forgivable. I don’t think I could forgive it happening twice even.

Sleeping with someone else might mean you got drunk and fucked up. I could forgive that. Making someone feel like the third wheel means you are forging an emotional connection with someone else at the expense of your partner

I can’t believe I forgot this, but my dad’s gf’s daughter’s fiance told her the wedding was off about 5 days beforehand. I mean, if you don’t want to get married, better to do it beforehand, but man,it was devastating.

I remember watching a documentary for a sociology class, and they did a DNA test for Henry Louis Gates, and he had 50% European, 50% African ancestry. So of course, he, and us viewers, assumed this was a result of rape. What was really interesting was that his first European ancestor was a woman, and they figured out

    Ah. Cool. Thanks for explaining.

Dude is Black and he was fired. This is nice though. I think this might be our first Black mass shooter. Wait. DC Sniper was also Black. Oh good. Progress

As a relationship naturally evolves, if two people are truly into each other, they will become closer to each other than to other people. I think the issue here is that she felt like a second fiddle when her bf and his friend hung out, and rather than trust her instant that something wasn’t right, she let them

Snap. Lindsay was incredibly talented. Bella Thorn is way more beautiful than Lindsay ever was, but a lot less talented as well.

WHAT KIND OF DERANGED PEOPLE GIVE YOU STRANGE LOOKS? But yes, I was like, “I’m a virgin who can’t drive,” and the person did not get it. Sad. I am old af.

I freaked out in the subway because there was an ad for Famous In Love, and Bella Thron was billed and I was like, “who the fuck is she?”

    Fell right into her, really.

I’m a little confused about what you mean by “closed culture.” I’ve never heard the term before.

And she comes from an Anglican background, which, given that she is British is huge. She has a privilege that British Muslims, Jews, and Hindus don’t have - and perhaps Catholics up until maybe the last 100 years or so.

I get what you’re saying, but I mean, does she not know people who aren’t white? Like I am white and I remember being in 3rd grade and seeing how my Puerto Rican friends were treated differently and I remember going shopping with my high school bestie, who was Black, and seeing her get followed around the store. Or my

Isn’t part of what is going on that how we define “white” has changed, and xenophobia and racism has changed too. i mean, Brexit was just as much, if nor more so, about xenophobia as it was about racism - a lot of people voted for Brexit because of a deep dislike of Eastern European immigrants. I am pretty sure

I know. Whenever I freak out about alternative facts I remember the way the Bush administration flat out lied about WMDs and the Katrina mess and everything. If we had gone from Clinton to Omama, rather than Clinton, Bush, Obama, I don’t think Trump et al. would be able to manipulate the truth like they have.

I miss Bush, which is terrifying.
