I suppose you're right, but the purpose of satire is hyperbolizing things for the sake of comedy, and a lot of people ARE offended by that. I believe most people would classify South Park as satire. But they also call it offensive.

Chevy came to boogie down in that episode! :)
Thank you, I totally forgot her! Damn it, Patrice!!!!
I mustache if that was appropriate.
Let's not have a race kerfuffle here, you guys.
South Park is a satire. It's meant to be offensive. HIMYM isn't.
You've just been proven racist by the racist-prover!
Yeah of all the characters on this show, Lily is definitely the whitest.
Ooh 12 years a slave parody? Sign me up.
Sure it's believable that a group of friends may be white, but this argument is more indicative of television programs as a whole. Non-whites are underrepresented on many tv shows, and HIMYM is set in NYC. I'm no saying that someone who isn't white couldn't relate to a white character, but I'm sure it's nice having…
Agreed. Even Community had an episode where a guy wore blackface. But 1: he was playing a dark elf character. 2: Community has one of the most diverse casts on TV. 3: One of the African American characters brought it up and was offended by it. (imagine that! They have more than one black person!) And not that this…
I up voted you simply because you mentioned Dan Harmon making crap out of Nic Cage.
LOL!!!!
I will give it a shot. Since you're posting on Community's forum, I trust your judgment.
Ugh I got through season 1…barely. It just got more and more convoluted and ridiculous. The blatant overacting didn't help, either. It's still on my Netflix queue and I may try to watch S2, but I'm not sure I can stomach it.
Of all the new comedies this year, B99 is the only one worth watching. Hilarious and smart with great energy between cast members. "…I think I'm getting a text…Bloop" and "Rosa died eight years ago" we're my favorite lines of the night. Not to mention Peralta's glee at the thought of pulling girls' pigtails.
Hmmm I don't agree. That wasn't one of the better S2 episodes for sure, but I found all the eps that season to at least be funny.
And I LOVED last week's Community and didn't like this ep of HIMYM. Humor really is subjective!
Yeah I get that, I just didn't find it funny.
Hahaha well I agree with you that the dead horse that is Ted and Robin has been beaten into the ground, lit on fire, then urinated on to put out the flames. I HATE the fact that Ted isn't over Robin, but that's what the writers decided. And because they decided it, we know it's going to have to be dealt with and…
