I take every opportunity to sing the praises of Buzzfeed’s news division. They’re truly excellent, especially their investigatory pieces.

Buzzfeed did a live stream of the proceedings. They’re not just all listicles and quizzes.

USA Gymnastics would be well served to bring her into the organization, not just as some PR stunt but as an athlete advocate or ombudsman. Her strength, her love of the sport and her obvious desire to rectify this awful situation would certainly be an asset.

I clerked for Judge Aquilina in law school. I can’t imagine her response to Nassar’s request for a pity party for having to listen to all his victims. This wasn’t a “mistake.” This was a pattern of behavior that was allowed to persist and swept under the rug for decades.
