Based on his own statements I think he’s sweaty every day. I used to be married to a sweaty person, I wouldn’t wash his clothes with mine.

I didn’t get it that way but a friend posted a link. Under suggestions I wrote “Please take the president’s phone away, his tweets are gross.” I also wrote about how embarrassing this whole mess is on the world stage. And I use my real zip code because that twatwaflle totally won my neighborhood (I am surrounded by…
She should have put out a tweet/FB call instead. Someone I know did that over an insurance denial for their kid and they had a positive response in like 8 hours from the insurance company.
Sometimes they are given a copy of the speech. I’m actually surprised they’ve never had a SL interpreter the way mayors have here in NY.
I’m so disappointed in Fred Thompson right now.
Wedding & funeral catholic, myself. But I’ll take all the rosaries my mom wants to say in hopes of my finding a better job.
People who aren’t Catholic don’t realize things like: the Vatican employs scientists to disprove alleged miracles, many religious orders founded/still run nursing schools, the Jesuits believe in a well-rounded education, etc. I grew up in public school but went to a Catholic college which had been all-girls and was a…
I went on a week-long D.C. trip sponsored by my congresswoman when I was in high school. We sat in on House & Senate sessions, met with our Senators, toured the WH, Capitol, Pentagon, etc. There was a strict dress code and behavior expectations for every event. When I toured the Capitol again two summers ago it was…
I think Ex-Presidents’ Club is a thing, I think they all take it seriously, and I think in the past, sitting presidents have relied on their predecessors for advice (W obviously had an advantage there with his father). Bill Clinton and 41 are very close now. The picture you used totally makes me think their is a…
My mom wrote someone else in (she didn’t say who). My dad left President blank. That said, they live in CT and knew Clinton would take their state. I wrote someone in, I live in NY, so it was the same thing. My mom said she isn’t sure what she would have done if she were in a swing state.
Cheers; may you be a spry 80 year old someday.
Apologies, you were not the first person to cite his age, I should have addressed it directly to the person who referred to “trotting out elderly actors.”
I guess, if you think it’s self-righteous to not think healthy 80 year olds are useless and senile. They aren’t, and if you are lucky to live that long, you probably won’t be either. I wait on people every day who are that age or older who are traveling all over the world. They aren’t infirm and they don’t deserve to…
80 year old people aren’t senile just because they are 80. My aunt was still waitressing/cooking in Midtown Manhattan when she was 80. My dad is 75 and in better shape than half the guys I know who are my age (41). And his vision is better than mine. Keep your assumptions about the olds in check.
They have a blurb to read for each potential winner. They hear the name, they read from the corresponding card in front of them. Only the accountants know the results before they are read.
Yeah my grandmother was born in 1906, I’m sure I heard it from her at some point.
She didn’t advance her platform when she had the chance. She should have totally ignored trump in the 2nd debate and talked about her platform. But she took his bait. And you are totally right about far-left candidates being unelectable. I’m not registered to a party, neither are my parents, none of us would have…
Bush didn’t really give a f*ck when people made fun of him. He seems pretty aware he comes off as a doofus. And even if it bothered him, he didn’t make a public stink about it. Bush I didn’t attack Dana Carvey in the press. They (and Obama, and Clinton) understood that people were going to use them as comedy fodder.…
He had a free song on iTunes once so he is on my song list. Every once in a while it pops up in shuffle. Very 60s folk-ish which isn’t really my bag but fine to read to on the A train. Drowns out “showtime” and subway preachers well.
