The message isn't to "not conform," it's to say "this is what men like, and as such, you should do."

Well, for starters, it points out that he's not smarter than the people he's addressing, although he implies that he is. The comment points out that judging isn't cool, regardless of "where it's coming from," and it nails home the idea that putting women on a pedestal isn't flattering, it's infantilizing.

I've had the procedure, and wasn't sad or traumatized. Just because you're convinced all your friends felt a flicker of sadness (or maybe that's just what they told you so you wouldn't judge them for not being torn up about it? hmm?), doesn't mean that is the "correct" way, or that everyone feels that way.
