And the FOP is continuing to claim that the police announced themselves before breaking the door down, which would completely fly in the face of the no-knock warrant in the first place.

Accountability. Something they’re just not used to nor will they ever get used to it because it seems as though a huge number of police join the forces specifically BECAUSE of that lack of accountability.

Basic fact: people will reasonably try to defend themselves during a no-knock warrant process, because how the fuck are they going to know those guys breaking in with guns are cops when they don’t announce it? Then you end up with injuries and loss of life, including on our precious widdle cop bodies.

So let me get this right, they’re all pissed off about body cams and having to take a drug/alcohol test if somebody gets shot.......

I’ll be damned. I am 100% PWNed by this.

I did laugh out loud to that opening line about the cheering crowds of dozens. I cracked up even more at the pretty savage comments in the Twitter mentions.

That’s a good point. Not everyone is a salaried employee that will get paid no matter what. Hourly employees don’t get paid if they don’t work a shift.

It’s not a paid day off if you weren’t supposed to work as an employee that day. Retired? Uber driver? SAHP? Student? Unemployed? Shift worker whose boss dicked you over by rescheduling you instead of paying for the day off? Congrats, you got $10.

It stinks though when you have to pay to do jury duty. In many states, employers don’t have to pay you for days you’re not at work; they just can’t fire you if you’re not at work because you have jury duty. And some cities have ridiculously low per diems. Philadelphia, for instance, only pays $9 a day, which wasn’t

1) Sometimes cases can last more than a couple of days (I was on a case that lasted a week, and some Federal cases can last months).

Let us not forget the most important thing of all:

“Doing the laundry” is not “pampering” ffs. It’s doing the basics as a partner in a marriage.

What I will never understand.

where are the poor and working class expected to live?”

“They want safety & are thrilled that I ended the long-running program where low-income housing would invade their neighborhood.”

The Washington Post is supposed to be a pretty liberal paper, yet commenters from all political stripes still think a one income household is not a luxury and is very realistic if “people would buy smaller houses and eat out less.”

Holy christ, I did some research on women blues singers in the Classic age, and that stuff is RAUNCHY. I felt like a babe in the woods listening to that stuff.

Now playing

Shall we repair to my study? I have a Victorola in there and a record that might be of interest to you. No ladies will be present.

Can I tell you how mad I was when I found the instructions in the tampon box?!?! I had looked on the outside of the box for directions but didn’t think to look inside for a pamphlet. That’s how I eventually figured it out, but too late for the boat day.

I hope someone told that guy what a useless cretin and terrible parent he was before the thread got deleted.
