I signed up to comment on this site for the 1st time after reading for 7 years just to agree.

I laughed a lot this episode. I loved that it was a new challenge - almost like drag queen branding through interpretative dance, loved how I could see some of the dances actually going viral on Tiktok (especially Yvie’s, though Shea’s could be for high achievers), thought Jinkx making a sandwich was hilarious, loved

If they were truly concerned with stopping the abuse of children they would start by banning them from going to church. But, as always, it’s not about protecting children. It’s about them desperately trying to hold on to power with the added bonus of potentially getting people they hate killed.

The idea that measures should continue until the virus is no more are totally unrealistic.

If these bozos spent half as much time supporting mothers in need and laws for easier adoption they could cut the abortion rate in half as well. Not to mention shelters for abused women and harsh penalties for domestic abuse.

I sure am glad Ken Peters weighed in with his Christian thoughts. We’d like to have no abortion in America too, Ken. It starts with lots of free birth control and a social safety net for families. Ken? Ken? Where’d you go?

And it’s always the ones they disagree with that they deem “stupid” or “insane” (the implication of course being that they themselves are the opposite of that).

It's really bugging me how bad people want to cape for him.

So many people run to defend Chappelle. He’s a rich dude that doesn’t give a shit about you and would absolutely never run to your defense.

Counterpoint: the best moment in Kanye’s career is his rap in American Boy.

They’ve always sort of been this way, but the last few years the GOP’s pretty much made clear they don’t want to bother with the law-passing part of governance that involves actually, materially helping the lives of regular people. (See infrastructure for a currently ongoing example.) Their goal is getting into

Seriously. Evil but also so. fucking. pathetic.

purchased tactical gloves, a bulletproof vest, a hoodie bearing the word “revenge,” cargo pants, a bowie knife, a skull facemask, two Glock 17 magazines, a 9mm Glock 17 clip and a holster clip concealed carry for a Glock

Honestly the way they ran through like 5 different tourist destinations to emphasize the ep was set in Chicago (after having the earlier one with Death that I’m fairly sure was *not*) was entertaining.

As a former valedictorian, former Texan, and current abortion care worker: Hell to the Fucking Yes. What courage and smarts she has to do this. Talking about abortion bans in a valedictorian speech is gutsy even in a liberal state. To do so in Texas, even more so times ten.

“These historians appear to me to be pushing to find the true historical facts. Based on her own words, many will conclude she is trying to push an agenda, and they will assume she is manipulating historical facts to support it. If asked about it, I will have to be honest in saying I agree with the historians.”

I am a white woman and I want to crawl into a cave right now. Um, Gwen, honey, sweetie, I am right around your same age, and this has NOTHING to do with “a time that had different rules”.

Just read more about this (while looking to see where the Goulds’ worshipped; yes, I’m Jewish and being nosy) and Moyo is Jewish! WTF, people? This just kills me that they would prevent her from making the connection to Black lives! ARGH.

I guess more people just carried knives back then and it wasn’t considered really weird?

I just love that pointing out the ways systemic racism and inequality have and continue to affect the lives of so many people (myself included) has been equated to fostering division.
