I would think petunias and ‘Oh, no. Not again.’
I would think petunias and ‘Oh, no. Not again.’
That was the most triggering thing I’ve seen in a movie.
Seeing that bag of pumped breast milk spill, I thought, “This is a horror movie. NOOOOOOOOO!”
It’s definitely not a sequel to Young Adult but on its own, I’ll probably appreciate it. “Theron’s life is fine to start” even when things are fine, motherhood is effing hard. Especially in that newborn haze. Your body and emotions are a wreck and you’re also caring for a new life, and this case, other kids as well.
Seriously though, it seems even more telling that Dunham characterized his lines as a “massive insult of white women” rather than a fairly tame insult towards her character/show (and clueless hipsters like her) specifically.
Thanks so much for posting this. I count myself as one of the non-White women who feels alienated by much of the content on Jezebel. Today’s a day I’m glad I dipped my toe back in here. Roxanne Shanté is an important part of American music history and I will watch the hell out of this. Hip-hop has strayed so far from…
The 3-plus movie release a year from the MCU is starting to show some strain.
I’m responding to you because I don’t want to talk to whyareyousoracist. As a response to his ridiculous line of thought, though:
Shes not mainstream enough, at least to me.Her album did go gold though. But anyway shes medium I guess. I hate going over skin tone.
Vigilante justice is not great. Larry’s going to die in prison, no need for anyone else to ruin their life over him.
But seriously, you’re doing Stevie and no coke jokes? No animals posed on your forearm? Sooooo much more she could have done.
Also, STEVIE NICKS IS A GAY ICON
a prime example is what serena williams went through when she gave birth to her daughter. even though she had a history of blood clots, the nurses and doctors ignored her when she asked for a ct scan. they finally gave in and lo and behold she was forming blood clots in her legs.
His image will take a whopping. He’s mean and insensitive — not to mention sexist, misogynistic, and ageist. If you don’t mind all that — then you can have Quincy Jones.
That would be icky fine if he didn’t stop to throw the elderly and/or fat women under the bus while humblebragging about how many younguns his bank account pulls in.
Should he have added “Black” to the list or does that just go without saying?
I’ve really enjoyed Trixie’s country music turn. She perfectly taps into that Dolly Parton-sweet-and-earnest-through-fake-tits-and-a-mountain-of-wigs essence. Plus, I always appreciate an unexpected autoharp.
BenDeLa’s striptease was pretty much an instant comedy classic. Such a great bit and flawlessly executed.
That’s the nice thing about grandkids. You think, “Oh, wait. I remember this part.” And, hopefully, you do it better the second time around. Or at least you fuck them up in a different way than you did their parents.
Its a good lesson to learn that Hollywood is bullshit. It is an industry that is literally about illusion and false feelings.
