Isn't your FYP predicated upon what content you like? My page is filled with POC, cosplay, MUA's, and LGBTQ content. I never seem to see the mainstream cis het white kids you guys are always writing articles about... 😏

Literally just came here to say the same thing.

My husband was arguing the same point with me last night... He expects a Dune retread to create a new, visually arresting space world. I argued that you know you’re getting a sleek minimalist take with anything Villenueve directs. It’ll be interesting to see if the grandeur translates or if we get some actual colors

I don’t even really care if people want to have gender reveal parties, tasteless as I may feel they are... Just stop involving fire and explosions! How about a nice piñata or novelty snakes in a can, or the old inside of the cake reveal? Cake is so much better than explosions.

This is HUGE. If you need some clear context I suggest listening to The Dollop podcast episode about the hearing. When Biden said he wished he could do more, you should know that he actually COULD have done more to protect her and legitimize her testimony in that moment. The fact that she is willing to vote for him

I hope the show actually comes around to explicitly discussing the other major element in Leti and Ruby’s relationship, which is rooted in colorism. Now is the perfect time to have a nuanced unpacking of how it affects each of them. I really love this show for it’s details and texture. Watching the scene in Leti’s

A shame as I really enjoyed season 2 more than the first. Of course, Renee Elise Goldberry probably was the biggest reason for that.

I can, unfortunately. Tiktok has shown me an entire swath of Black kids of racist white parents. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Right? I’m pretty old so seeing that much coverage on someone who’s 17 feels weird to me outside of a formal setting. If she was 27, that look would resonate. I think he just went a tad too heavy on the glam to make the end result more noticeable.

I started out loving Jimbo but am quickly feeling that he's either getting a shady edit or he's meaner than originally advertised.

This really takes me back to Automatic for the People era R.E.M. and not in a bad way.

Holy shit this was covered in an episode of The Dollop podcast and it was GLORIOUS.

Often times people in service oriented jobs will face retaliation by management for "messing up the schedule" and I personally have worked 2 jobs where I was not paid for the days of work I missed to do my civic duty. It's not right, but it happens a lot and disproportionately to POC.

I’m from Atlanta, born in the late 70's, am Black and have lived in the suburbs my entire life. Every one of those suburban neighborhoods was predominantly Black. So... Yeah.

Literally been around for decades ... Look up Louise Bogan’s 1930's banger, Shave em Dry. It's scandalous and wonderful.

Hell, I moved to hippie-ish NorCal from the south and was mortified to learn that girls would rather pop a squat in an alley or between cars rather than wait in line to pee at music shows. I'm suburban and Black... That's just not happening even if I could avoid making a total mess!

Considering it’s been in use since forever...

The kids on POC Tiktok know how it works. They create hilarious and amazing content that gets copied by white kids and then blows up. The originators rarely get credit or clout for their creations. And yet they are thriving and continuing to create. Tale as old as time...

I’m guessing he never heard of Lucille Bogan...

Samurai Gourmet and Kantaro: The Sweet Tooth Salaryman are my favorites in this genre! I was looking for relaxing tv I could watch while on maternity leave a few years ago and something about these shows is just so wholesome and satisfying.
