" I have put on dresses and wigs and makeup. I'm beginning to embark on that and trying to find out who she is."

Speaking about privileged white 'feminists'...

Is it? Are people tired of hearing the truth?

Wow Jezebel. I'm really disappointed. A self-proclaimed feminist site devoting a whole post to bagging a hardworking female artist because...? Because she's British? Because she's got the courage to follow her dreams and work her arse off? Because she's decided not to give up in the face of career challenges? Because

I'm as confused by that as the acceptance that Rachel Zoe's friend Joey is obviously going for the sexy Native american. I'm gonna see this as an ironic oversight on the stupidity of celebrity costumes otherwise known as "Is Clover trolling us?"

She's successful in the UK - does she have to be successful in the U.S.? She's doing well for herself. If all she can get in the U.S. are some choruses or a couple of lines of lyrics on other people's songs, maybe she should bail and spend more time with the fans in the country that really love her.

"Gang banger" costumes by office workers: racist.

Whoa. Super bitchy-for-no-reason article. Nobody else is taken aback by this? It's just...odd.

I forget. Why do we not like Rita Ora? Or did the giant wheel of "Female Celebrities Jezebel Hates" finally land on her?

I should add that when I tweeted at her about the 12 years a slave stuff, she messaged some roundabout bullshit and told me about all of her Black friends.

Your conclusions are exactly why this video is racist. There were white men who harassed this woman. They were edited out of the video. But, instead of considering that, you assume that black and Latino men are more likely to harass and there's some kind of cultural issue instead of the fact that the video editors

I'm just waiting for this party to die, which I wouldn't be surprised if it was very soon.

Everybody sucked in Les Miz.

Yeah, we don't have ANY of that going on here...

The UK has made a lot of progress on the subject of gay rights and it's the progress that counts. Any country was homophobic at a certain point in its history and what matters are the steps that were taken to right that wrong. Bringing it up right now only invalidates any criticism UK officials and public

I have in a post on here already, I felt no need to actually give you such grace down to the idiotic stance you'd taken.

Excuse me for growing up gay under section 28, and remembering well the law and its repeal.

Well, think about this: the law wasn't a criminal offence and there were zero prosecutions under it, it was repealed in 2000, and we had gays in the military before you, equal marriage before you, we have work place discrimination laws that protect gay people and we don't have a proud history of pray away the gay.

So what's your argument here? That we should all stop condemning Russia and let them abuse, torment and discriminate at will? Should nations who once supported slavery refuse to challenge those that still do? You're making no sense.

Yes, we'll it wouldn't if we still had the law (which was widely considered a travesty at the time). As there's no form of discrimination on the basis of sexuality that's still legal in the UK, I reserve the right to condemn Russia. (If that's OK with you.)
