IT IS AMAZING. It's on Netflix, but the US DVD is wonderful, and basically, you'll want all the bonus stuff. Including the CD, which is a) amazingly good and b) terribly mastered. I ended up having to do a bit of work on the audio files to make them, uh, listenable.

I'm glad they're doing it as a live-action thing this time. It'll probably still be as terrible as Allen Gregory, but at least it won't have those goddawful character designs. (seriously, what was with every female character having a forehead the size of kansas?)

Or maybe Jimmy Carr.

That dude is basically Skinny David Mitchell.

Off The Air is the best.

BUMBLION FOR LIFE BRO BUMBLION FOR LIFE

FUCK THE WUZZLES?

ARGH. I had no idea there WERE new American Dad episodes. Thanks for the heads-up!

He kinda had a Night Of The Hunter style menace, too. I wouldn't be surprised if that was an influence for that shot/decision.

Who doesn't?!

It's weird because I love both David Mitchells and it gets pretty confusing. Especially now that & Webb has also written at least one book.

THAT WAS WHAT I CLICKED THROUGH TO CONFIRM. I was all "oh, OK, gave Charlie the role of Uncle Eddie". AND IT WASN'T. These people don't know how to do a thing.

Yeah — exactly. Like you say, it doesn't always work, but Nathan gets a pass, I think, especially because he's generally making a point, not just being a dick.

I agree — assuming the kid wasn't a plant, if I had been Santa, I would have put the shtick on hold for her. She looked like she needed some comforting, not alt comedy.

I loved that too. I wonder if it was adspeak — like if Hot Pockets paid a bit to be in the "reality show". Just because "hot pockets" as a singular thing and "hot pockets sandwich" sound TOTALLY like someone was going "MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE BRANDING CONSISTENT" and had to be talked down from referring to it as a

Does that also apply to the more supernatural situations? Like, I dunno, in reality someone just pulled a gun on Mordo, and CJ just got really pissed and kicked the shit out of them?

She does a biweekly (I didn't know our weeks are bi. Good for them!) (Yes, I stole that from Bob's Burgers) column for the AV Club. Her pieces are AMAZING. The most recent one is particularly wonderful, but she has yet to steer us wrong anyway. Read all of them.

I thought it was a little disturbing that Pep-But didn't turn the kids back, which is what I thought was going to happen. LIke a "OK, you learned your lesson, don't fuck with me — next time it'll be permanent" thing. But it was pretty cool that the kids seemed to dig their monsterification. And, yeah — it's not

Yes — I was surprised Mud Waifu didn't make it into the review.

Likewise, I don't think DEVO has done the "sad" version of "Jocko Homo" since like, 1988.
