Yeah — I think next week is the finale. (Though I'll be happily proved wrong if it's not. We need more Rick and Morty.)

True - and they probably would have just gone ahead and used Herbert.
Yeah — that would have worked too, and probably been a lot better. But yeah, "he hid me from Wiggum one time out of the 500,000,000 times I've avoided capture by Wiggum" seems like, at most, that the Playstation (or whatever lame thing they called it) would have been more than enough thanks.
Yeah — the Snake thing was dumb, but the whole "Marge worries about Lisa marrying a Homer" is a pretty fresh idea, considering. If they'd cut that dumb thing, and focused on that, it'd have been better.
…but I was usin' my whole ass!
That was the precise bit that I jumped off too. Though IIRC, I was beginning to get disillusioned with him before that, but got it as it was the new one and then was all "OK then."
The thing for me is that the advertisements for this show have this whole "WACKY HARDASS DAD!!!" style, except all the examples of him being a wacky hardass dad are basically not only abusive but, like, abuse that I could see actually happening in real life? (Like the thing about demanding his sons beat each other…
Yeah, honestly, the extended "whoa whoa whoa" was what tipped me over into officially Deciding to Do Something Else With It On In The Background territory. Seriously, I'm kinda baffled that this one seems to be relatively well-regarded.
My college radio station had the album (Take Out The Grandmaster!, if you're curious) and there was a lot of pretty good stuff on there. IIRC, about 3/4 of the album was gold. I still think of their version of "Iron Man" (a nerd voice shrieking lyrics that were wholly wrong. "I AM IRON MAN/I EAT TORTELLINI FROM A…
He's also been regularly doing the backup story in the Bravest Warriors comic book. I love TWP, and I'm glad he's doing Regular Show now, too.
He was also in the Dead Alewives with Rob Schrab. They were a comedy/improv group who put out a record, from which Dr. Demento's given a lot of play to the Dungeons and Dragons sketch. ("If there's any GIRRRRLS there I wanna DOOOOO themmmm!")
I like how… dark Onion got. He was dropping buicks!
And I also dig the surreal gag of he and his dad communicating with grunts. And some people just not needing words.
For some stupid reason I always get the Wild Bunch mentally mixed up with The Wild One, which I think actually does pre-date the Rifleman — or it's close…8)
Typo: Peckinpah's "Straw Dogs" is not an earlier work compared to the Rifleman.
I still like that thing from Stephen Fry… "Countryside? Someone killed Piers Morgan?"
…well, they kinda ARE cocks for setting the clocks wrong…
MY LIFE IS FORFEIT
Awww, count me in as another one who actually really likes the raps. And gets a lot of them in my head.
ARE YOU A BAD ENOUGH DUDE TO GET THE BAD DUDES REFERENCE?!?!
….OK, I did not know that story, and I was shocked at how accurate that was to Archer's precise situation.
