Let’s be clear here about what’s happening right now on Jezebel.com:

ewsom never seemed to take responsibility for the danger in which his remarks placed members of Asian American communities—nor has he addressed his reluctance to re-open nail salons, 80 percent of which are owned by Vietnamese residents of California.

What is Jezebel these days? In the run up to the recall, what does posting this do to further the cause of feminism? I’m not denying the facts of the article, but why post this NOW?

Just so we’re clear with the numbers

This is such a baffling headline and article. “Gavin Newsom Said Something Stupid Once” basically, on the eve of such an important election is just a strange take when the option is somebody who could conceivably replace the (increasingly addled) Dianne Feinstein and change the balance of the Senate.

Another take: nail salons are a luxury item, and as much as people have built their livelihood around their existence, it doesnt change the fact that it is not a critically important business to reopen. Also who are you going to flash your nails when we are trying to social distance.

I put my vote in the mail weeks ago to keep Newsom. While he’s done some questionable things, he isn’t a literal garbage bag full of shit like Larry Elder.
