I grew up near Boonsboro and seriously had no clue she even lived in MD, much less around there. Not sure how I missed that, though I haven’t lived back there in 16 years.

I had to read it sophomore year, though now that i think about it more our history teacher made us read it, we didn’t read it in English. So maybe not required reading for everyone, but i had to read it all the same.

The real issue is traffic, unsafe parking, and stupid people going off the trails, trampling the poppies and ruining it. No one is pissed people are taking photos, it’s just that the town is too small for the massive influx of people, and then people are being assholes and killing the flowers.
