They obviously have lawyers, why wouldn’t you consult a lawyer before trying to use someone’s likeness like that? Their lawyer or PR person probably wrote the fucking apology, they need to talk to those people before they do stupid shit like this.

Well she did manage to get a lawyer who deals with this type of thing by posting it on twitter, a free one, so it seems to have worked out.

Download the hangouts app to your phone. That way even if you don’t have gmail open the message will pop up on your phone (as long as you are logged into it).

I think it’s a thing with gmail refreshing. I think gchat didn’t always show the correct status either. Both gchat and hangouts give you the option to not show any status, or in gchat’s case, to appear to be offline when in fact you aren’t so the status shown isn’t necessarily accurate any way you look at it.

I used Allo for like 4 hours one day, it freaked me out. my fiance was like lets try it. Then it was giving him auto responses to use, way too creepy. I was like, babe..is that you or allo? I deleted it. We use Duo sometimes, since we don’t have iphones.

Doesn’t bother me. When you open the chat box it will say “active 25 minutes ago” (or 4 days ago) so really just more detail.

There really isn’t in my opinion. Except I don’t think I could see when someone was typing in gchat and I can in hangouts.

My hangouts is basically the same as gchat in location. On the side, not on my task bar. Maybe there is something in your settings to change that. I also don’t have any issues with the online status. Of course people can select not to show if they are online or not, but you could do that in gchat as well.

I’ve been on hangouts for about 2 years. You can set it so it doesn’t show when you are online, or last online, and how you are accessing it (you could hide that info in gchat too). Assuming people have selected the option that allows that information to show, the green dots show when someone is currently online. If…

Could we maybe get a class for cops to teach them how to not murder people? I think that would probably be more effective. Teaching people how to interact properly with police doesn’t help when you can do everything right and still get murdered, on video, for no fucking reason at all.

I saw photos recently from a wedding my friend attended, the theme was something like life on mars. Everyone looked like there were at a disco/rave or something. I mean, I guess that’s cool if that’s your thing. My wedding is in September, i’m fine with cocktail attire.
