A lot of rainforest destruction is indeed because of soy farming (and other crops), but you’re forgetting that 85% of the world’s soy is grown for animal feed. Indirectly, the soy crops are going towards producing meat and dairy. About 45% of the world’s total agricultural output is devoted to animal feed.
