Googled it. Nope. Nope. Nope.

Sure. ;) I’ve worked a lot of jobs with sexist dudes and I’ve tried different methods with varying levels of success to combat soft sexism all the way up to full-on sexism. One boss of mine told me that women’s brains are smaller than men’s, so they can’t do math correctly. Therefore, I had to prove all the math

I just got over food poisoning two days ago. TOO SOON JEZEBEL

Thanks. I don’t want to get too specific, but I’m looking for Data Science type gigs. I’m also looking abroad in a country where directness is highly valued...and things are better for women. Crossing my fingers that things will go well!

I think sometimes mentioning that a comment bothers you is a good way to go. A

Wait until the semester’s over if you’re worried about retribution, but do it.

Amen. I’m probably entering this world too and I’m READY. While job searching, I’ve been contacting high ranking people in companies I want to work for and writing messages telling them how qualified I am/they should consider hiring me. I’ve been getting interviews, which tells me they’re a) impressed by my initiative

I went to a wedding like this for a grad student friend (as a grad student). They just asked everyone come and they'd have some food. They explicitly told people NOT to bring them gifts. I wanted to give them something and I bought them good champagne to open at the reception (in a park). I was the only one who

Imagine in 10 years when people google him for real jobs and THIS comes up. "Hey man, you shoplifted a $13 vibrator? Really?"

Surprised my ex at end of his work shift. He was acting really strange said he had to write something down fast. I trusted him and I was like alright, sure. Then, he tries to hide the fact that he added a random girl's name to a list of girls' names...after my name.

Yes to this. Although I've had two pretty terrible therapists (short-term [ended after a few sessions]), I ended up seeing a fantastic one the past couple years. Talk therapy worked amazingly for me (although doesn't always work for others as well). Thanks to my therapist, I have gotten over my serious relationships

My parents met around this time. They met at a video game arcade/bar/dance club. That just sounds amazing. The closest I've found to that was an arcade that had a DJ in Chicago.

NYC native here. I prefer Pittsburgh myself. Reasonable rents, hipsters (if you miss Brooklyn), and good food.

My bf finds ASMR videos really calming and relaxing. He says he does feel the tingles, but he listens to it (usually with one headphone in) just to relax him. I personally find it weird, but people listen to all kinds of weird sounds to relax.

My bf (of 9 months) got a fantastic job abroad and we're moving together in three months. We basically live together at the moment (minus him paying rent for a place he doesn't live at) because we just like seeing each other every night. We are both actually really excited about living together and also, it seems

I gave my best friend cat versions of all the normal household items on her registry. SHE LOVED IT. I also recently got her two cat face pillows for her couch because...you need those.

My cousin expressly wrote in her invitation that they're trying to buy an apartment in NYC and they'd really appreciate if people gave money instead of gifts. They had a little "X & Y's Apartment Fund" thing set up on Paypal if you wanted to buy it online like a gift. Clever.

Reminds me of my first ~sort of date with my bf. Gives me hope :)
