What’s extra infuriating is to hear those same people laughing at us. “Calm down, you over-dramatic liberals.” I had a conservative “friend” (I use the term loosely) tell me on Facebook that he was going to enjoy watching me lose my mind the next four years, after I mentioned what a shitshow the transition continues

Aaack! Yes. One of my conservative acquaintances and his pals are bragging about it on Facebook right now.

My visceral reaction as well. Good! Let it be on the record as an unmitigated shitshow from the very first minute.

I get the feeling Putin got an Amazon Echo for Christmas.

Now playing

Get me Billy West on line 1, stat! (Starts at 0:44)

He’s starting to practice already. It’s ... awkward.

I can’t actually picture Trump listening to ANY type of music! That made me kind of sad. Could we send him a mixtape? (And what would be on it?!?)

The only good thing about Dr. Phil was his counterpart puppet, Dr. Feel, that showed up occasionally on Sesame Street a few years ago when my kids were younger...

I’m amazed at how much Trumpsplanation is still going on. All the objectively shitty things he’s said and done are either just not true or overreactions from a biased media, and we just haven’t seen his true personality yet, which is full of happy sparkles and friendship.

Unbelievable that KKK and other groups like it are GAINING relevance in 2016 when they should be losing relevance. Make no mistake - Trump is directly influencing this trend with his own toxic speech.

What more is this than a physical manifestation of the two minutes hate in Orwell’s 1984? It’s really unbelievable. SIX days and a wake-up!

Thanks! Nate certainly is in the stat geek catbird seat right now. I try not to be cynical, but his site has been accused of drumming up drama for clicks a lot lately. I honestly wondered a little bit if he’s goosing his own model to bring it down to 65-70% for HRC. He predicted that a few days ago based on how polls

I have a clear obsession with fivethirtyeight right now, checking it multiple times at work, in the evenings, and first thing when I get up every morning. The “how the odds have changed” graph literally looks like a roller coaster ride! It certainly feels like I’ve been riding one the past week. UGH.

Agree 100%. This election can’t come soon enough, btw. fivethirtyeight is giving me literal heartburn/indigestion today. (Or was it the seven-layer dip I ate at the office potluck? Probably some of both.)

This is what happens when you start with your conclusion (in this case, “I’m voting for the Republican nominee, no matter what”) and then retrofit everything to meet your decision. It’s breathtaking how insane that process has become with Donald Trump as the candidate!
