I was came here to say, “Cue Republicans complaining about how much she got paid in 3, 2, ...”

I have a strange fascination with MLMs after watching multiple friends get sucked into them. I have FOUR separate friends hocking Plexus (literal Kool-Aid, it’s like they’re not even trying to be subtle). I’ve never said anything to them but maybe I should. They should understand how insulting it is to use friends and

“America first,” wheezed the fat old orange bitch.

Seriously, though. He doesn’t look or sound well. I’m not a fan of rooting for someone’s demise, but I find myself ... let’s just say “fascinated” with his current deterioration.

At this pace, what does he look and sound like a year from now? Another month or two from

“Trust me” is something the guy hiding a knife behind his back likes to say...

I’d really like to know why this administration seems to be going out of its way to be deliberately shitty in every way possible? Everything they’re doing is deeply unpopular right now, from its pushy immigration reforms to healthcare to budget to etc. etc. etc. What joy do they get from doing ANY of this? It must be

If you buy into the notion that Trump may have dementia and that Ivanka has a caregiver-type role to guard against his cognitive breakdowns (explained at length and with much fire by Propane Jane on Twitter), then this move makes perfect sense.

JUST A THEORY, mind you, but one that makes more and more sense to me...

Exactly! He needs to be told he is a GOOD BOY doing a GOOD JOB and with such low approval ratings and bad news stories beating him down from all sides, this is one of the few places he can be validated and adored and shout “Lock Her Up!” some more and get a much needed ego stroke.

I’m am seeing more and more Jesusplaining from Evangelical Christians lately. It’s getting increasingly toxic because 81% of white EC’s voted for Trump and they absolutely refuse to back down off that position. BUT! They still want to occupy the moral high ground. Here’s a recent example from this weekend - a

America’s also No. 1 at growing corn and shooting each other dead. Now we’re the best at THREE THINGS!

America: “At least he’s not as bad as Nixon.”

Trump: “Hold my beer.”

From the NYT - they don’t even begin to have their shit in place. And from somewhere else (apologies, I don’t remember the source), there are these nefarious “beachhead teams” sort of running the show in a wildly unaccountable way in the absence of the eventual appointees.

Every time I go serve at our local soup kitchen or food pantry, I come away thinking it really should be a requirement for all politicians to serve at these sort of a facility on a regular basis. Not for a photo op - just simply to show up a couple of times a year and do the work required of them.

Legit question - which is more embarrassing, the “hacked” part or the “AOL” part of the story?!?

Heard a nice analogy not long ago. It’s like dark matter. You can’t detect dark matter but you know it exists by the way everything moves around it. Same with Trump/Russia. You can’t detect what actual fuckery occurred, but you know it exists by the way everything moves around it.

If you end up liking Shining Girls, go get Broken Monsters because you’ll like that one, too. I’d put those two up against nearly any two Stephen King books. A++

Go have a listen to his cover of Iron Maiden’s “Wasted Years.” It’s pretty damn good.

Right after the election, I couldn’t shake that feeling everywhere I went. I kept eyeing people suspiciously, wondering, “Was it you? Were you one of the people who voted for them?” It was an awful, paranoid feeling. It went away after a few days, but it’s come back on full force this week.

He doesn’t look well. He doesn’t sound well. I’m genuinely curious what a full physical and mental health screening would reveal?

Yep! My conservative friends are even treating this specific incident as one big joke. (Note the “both sides do it” pile-on, too.)

He’s trying to push some narrative about what the “actual” immigration EO says vs. the media “hysteria” going on right now. I’m tempted to respond but keeping my distance. Self care, and all of that...
