Honestly, the Republicans I know would be happy about this. They don't care about anyone but rich white people like themselves.
Dude, if the feminazi diet will enable me to look half as good as Gloria Steinem when I'm her age, send those aborted fetuses my way.
@Sukie in the Graveyard: Yes. I remember watching a video in bio class and being pissed that Crick and Watson got all the glory when it was Rosie who did all the work!
Insert obligatory Sarah Palin joke here.
@KittenFluff: Ha, I added "all" at the last moment and put it in the wrong place. That should read: "We should all be writing to Playtex."
@Macloserboy: We should be all writing to Playtex. A company whose best-known (and I'd imagine highest-grossing) product line is for women should not stand for this behavior.
@JinxyMcDeath: I am guessing you have never been at a place in your life where having to work at one of these establishments seemed like the only option for you.
@jemandtheholograms: What motivates women to work there has nothing to do with the horrific treatment of said women at the hands of management. I don't think Macloserboy was suggesting the women were responsible in some way, more that it's not shocking that a business whose selling point is scantily-clad women this…
Cindy McCain, consider my prior sympathy for you resCINDed.
@KittenFluff: He's back. PHEW.
@KittenFluff: OK, where the fuck is Spaghetti Cat? I am seeing blank space where my avatar should be. This is NOT FUNNY. Return Spaghetti Cat immediately.
I stand in solidarity with the worstie. If we stop giving these people publicity, maybe they'll go away.
@GeorgeFayne: WELL-PLAYED.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but Head-On? Actually works. I have some in my bag right now. My mom has terrible migraines and uses it to relieve them. She is a pharmacist who usually doesn't go for holistic stuff, but Head-On is amazing.
@beatrice2000: Ha. Thank you for the summary!
Also, I spent the weekend with my parents and my boyfriends' parents. My parents are overall pretty unconcerned that we're not married yet — my parents got married at 25 and my mom has always told me that was too young (I'm 26). But my boyfriend's mom talks nonstop about our wedding — where we're going to get married,…
@MrsMac: Well, I think this book is aimed at people who've already decided they DO want to get married. So the question of why get married doesn't really come into it.
Dodai, I'd rather read your book.
@scullymurphy: YES! I was like, wait, is that a typo or is he in Connecticut?
