@kit10indublin: What I want to know is who the fuck is raising these kids? When I was growing up I was taught to be nice to everyone — I befriended the kids other kids picked on while still managing to fit in with the others. Kids are seemingly the cruelest subset of humanity — is it innate or learned behavior?

I actually got teased in high school for dressing trendily. This is what happens when you go to school in a podunk town where the fashion trends hit a year later than they do everywhere else.

That might be the worst Vogue cover I've ever seen.

Is this the same guy who thinks waitresses should start dating dorky married writers? Because he reminds me of that guy.

This is such crap. I remember when they redid Life; the old version of that was much better as well. I can't believe they had the audacity to change the weapons!

From what I can tell, LC's line is mostly overpriced jersey pieces that aren't particularly innovative. Where did she get the financial backing for it?

@vamusical: I buy almost all of my accessories at Forever 21 these days. They have awesome headbands, too, and most are $3.80.

@Cuteasabutton: Yes. Madonna has those shoulders BECAUSE she hits the gym.

Hello, please come live at my house. I will snuggle you.

Oh, you fucker.

@noasalira: "So where's the post on ways to prevent your daughter from turning into an alcoholic douchbag?" Um, that's what the Newsweek article is. You know, the one this post was responding to?

WTF is up, Florida? It seems like all these stories come from there.

@Mkp-hearts-nyc: Thanks — I do know about that organization (and similar ones), but I feel like what's being done isn't working. I don't think societal attitudes toward rape have improved substantially over the last decade, which says to me that the discussion needs to be framed differently, and needs to take place on

I think we need to start a Jez letter writing campaign. Having excellent posts like Megan's above is GREAT, but it would be even better if society at large were exposed to these ideas, which seem to me like they should be common sense. Rape prevention is aimed at women because people aren't getting the message that it

@LaComtesse: Yeah, remember that fiasco with Isaac Mizrahi and Scarlett Johanson a few years ago? A woman's body is her own, no matter if the guy is gay, straight, or whatever.

@ymservin: I don't understand your comment. Clarification?
