@scrumtrulescent: Go by the size chart on the Alloy site. It's accurate, or at least it was for me.

@tscheese: I ordered sizes based on the size chart and both items fit.

Dodai, I was just singing your praises in the VF thread over my Alloy order, which was prompted by your post. I got this [store.alloy.com] and this [store.alloy.com] and both worked out great.

@tscheese: Yeah, my feeling is that their fashionableness doesn't really count. They have people doing everything for them, and even though they are filthy rich, they usually get their clothes and accessories for free.

@hortense: I was thinking I'd just ask for nominations for the under $50k and under $100k categories — so you'd only get a vague idea of how much the person made. Or just have one under $100k category with everyone in it, though I think there is a wide gap between economic statuses there.

@jezebelacious: Dodai is my style icon. I ordered two pieces from Alloy on her recommendation and they both worked out great! She is so service-y with all her catalog posts.

@Dodai: Maybe I will try to compile such a list...

They should do a list of best-dressed people with incomes under $100k (and $50k). That would at least be useful information to my broke ass, and it would include actually creative people, instead of rich people who have personal stylists and have designer pieces thrown at them.

@Macloserboy: Except that Seventeen cover. Yikes.

@hortense: I hope there's a vegan remix of "Eat It" coming out soon.

@bananaballs: Ha! That had to be for health reasons, right? If you tell me it was for ethical reasons I will die of irony.

I rarely get excited about celeb kids, but this is cute. Romijn is on the cover of the August Self and she said something about, "I'll feel very lucky if I get to have kids" or something like that; it read like she didn't want to jinx herself. Now I'm wondering if she was already pregnant when the interview occurred.

@Lulu82: I watched my dad try to quit for ten years, after he'd been trying to quit another ten years before I was born. He was not allowed to smoke in the house or in either of our cars, and he never smoked close enough to me or my brother for us to inhale secondhand smoke. Yes, it is hard to quit, but it is pretty

@sonofeat: Agreed. Also, not only are her ideas awful. but she has flat hair.

@PilgrimSoul: One possible explanation is that they're quite happy with the way things are, and they're not particularly happy that women want to change them. Thus were born these arguments about how feminism is "anti-male sexism," which is nonsense. Feminism = anti-sexism.

@Khrushchev: Yeah, I was thinking he stole it from you.

@stuckinbed: Also, I'm sorry that happened to you. It is shit.

@stuckinbed: I think making sure to say "some men" rather than simply "men" (which can be read as all-encompassing, as demonstrated above) is a start.

I know comments like the one I'm about to make are discouraged in other threads, but I'm hoping it's OK to say this here:
