Clinton-The distraction. He flirts with someone so the team can get in someplace.

I was born during Reagan’s second term and the first president I remember is Clinton. Most of what I know about H.W Bush comes from books I’ve read and documentaries I have seen. I do not agree with the GOP on most issues. That being said, when I think about H.W Bush the first thing that comes to mind is qualified.

Thanks for the explanation. I may check it out at some point.

What is WoT? Thanks for the links.

Agreed. I’ve seen with TV shows in development too; they go in trends. I remember when there about 6 Robin Hood projects in development, the year classic children’s books were getting turned into gritty procedurals/remakes, (Nancy Drew, Little Woman in a post apocalyptic world,), the fad for gender-swapping the lead

Well, there goes my theory. I thought there might be something on cable/streaming that’s under my radar but is producing major buzz on social media, or something that I had never heard of but is doing incredibly well in the ratings on network. Clearly I was wrong.

Why? What is the business model? I’m curious and want to know.

That would make sense. Agraba is supposed to be somewhere in the Middle East. The Middle East traded with Europeans, so it isn’t totally crazy to have European royalty trying to marry Jasmine, especially if he’s 3rd or 4th in line for the throne and probably not going to end up ruling his home country.

Jasmine doesn’t need a friend. She has Rajah. It’s why she was one of my favorite Disney Princesses. As a kid, she resonated with me. I didn’t have many friends, she didn’t have many friends. I had my stuffed animals, who came to life when I played pretend, and she had Rajah.

On Disqus it was great, I’d click on a comment and go right to that comment, which was incredibly helpful for posts with hundreds of comments. On Kinja, I click on a comment and it takes me to the post, which is not nearly as helpful.

How do I join AV Club After Dark? Where is it?

I agree. It’s harder to find stuff. I miss Gilmore Girls reviews being on the first page.

I am not aware of every TV show out there right now, but usually this type of thing is the result of one successful show and all of the other networks deciding to do their own version of it and hope their version is just as big.

Agreed. It seems like there are fewer articles I want to read, which isn’t actually the case. Also, I really think this website was better and had a better comment section with Disqus. I miss being able to click a comment and going right to the comment, not the article the comment was posted to.

I have a great idea for a 5th movie. (I have posted this before on different topics). It’s set in the 1950s. The U.S and the Soviets are both looking for some magical/mystical object or artifact that the Nazis hid during the war. It’s a race to find the treasure.

Thank you for convincing me I’m not crazy. It felt like the comments section was not as active, but I wasn’t sure if that in fact was the case.

It felt like the comment section wasn’t as good as it used to be, but I thought that might be just my imagination.

I think the point would be to show that girls are savage in a different way than boys are. You would have to alter elements of the plot, but I think the basic story structure would work, but keep in mind, I haven’t read the book since 8th grade.

Women today (at least in modern Western societies) are raised to believe that they can hold any job that men can and that they can be president or the leader of their country some day. The reality of course is far more complicated.

My class read it in 8th grade and it was all about symbolism, metaphor, and themes. There was one girl in class who didn’t talk much, but when it came to a series of questions that was about New Testament/religious symbols and metaphors she dominated that part of the class.
