Agreed, but think of NBC in the 1980s and 1990s.

Don't forget about Hawaii, Vegas and Europe.
If they say they're going to limit it ABC sitcoms, that's an easy way out, but it may be hard to stick to it since NBC dominated sitcoms for decades.
"Perfect Strangers," "Wings," and "Becker,"
I thought the tourist bit went on too long, but I loved the snack food delivered by parachutes, on the other I also think the balloon drops are the best parts of the political conventions.
So someone looked at the giant mess that was "The Rerun Show" and instead of running far away in the other direction thought, the key to doing this right is turning it into a live show.

There is nothing inherently wrong with the concept of prequels. The flashback scenes in "Godfather II" are fantastic. The novel "The Family Corleone" is outstanding. Lucas's main problems with the prequels are that he can't write and there was no one around to tell him no.
Rowling wrote a short story on a post card for a charity auction. A person bid on and won the postcard. Someone broke into the winner's house and stole the postcard.
Opie's grandson is now a rookie but he's in charge by the second season.
