The entire soundtrack is amazing.

He almost didn't cast him as Shades but Rita Wilson convinced Hanks to cast him because she thought he looked cute. Of course she thought he looked cute. She married someone who looked like that. Clearly Rita Wilson has a type.

In high school if I was really sad or depressed, I would play the soundtrack album.

That's awesome! You know I'm know going to be checking ebay for that.

I think "Little Wild One" is almost as good as the title track, but I also think the entire soundtrack abum is perfect. I love that they wrote the liner notes as if they were all real bands.

MTV did "The 70s House" all about the 1970s, and now are a doing a follow up about the 1990s. I don't know why MTV skipped the 1980s.

You may have been joking, but the 1990s house is actually going to be a reality series on Vh1 or MTV.

Call back to season 2. Paige and Henry are out doing something together (going to a movie, buying thier parents an anniversary present). It's late and it's dark. In the parking lot, they're attacked and Paige defends them by fighting off thier would be attackers.

For some reason I really feel like it should be plucky crusading journalists at Teen Vogue, but that may just be me.
Seriously, I think it's fantastic that the magazine is telling girls it's okay to care about lip gloss and fashion and be politically informed/aware.

The moment when the show stopped being accurate in terms of the era and when the show ran out of steam/ideas and started declining are two different points/moments.

I'm okay with being wrong on this point of trivia.

Honest/True Answer: An Italian nickname for Charles (according to Gary Marshall). However this is the AV Club so people are going to come up with far more interesting answers.

When I was about 12, I thought Chahi was really cute. In my defense, I was about 12 and had no idea what his political views were/what they would become.

The first few seasons were pretty accurate, but the show did stop caring at some point.

I think there may also be swearing, but's been awhile since I've seen the movie.

That sounds about right, except that the CIA gave up on LSD in the 1960s, but they could have LSD or some other attempt at a mind control drug around.

That sounds awesomely bad.

I'm bad at math, but I'm guessing the wallpaper was from the 1970s.

I agree. Matthew doesn't think he owns Paige, that she belongs to him, or that he's entitled to sex. Rape never occured to me as a possibility during that scene.

I think Claudia would come to the same conclusion, and would then ask to meet or find a way on her own to arrange a meeting with Henry.
