As a kid in the 1990s I wanted to get trapped in an FAO Schwartz, specifically the flagship store in New York City.
That will be part of the backstory. The father has a boring job. He takes his son to the toy store, but tells him to stay close and that they won't be there for long. The son wanders off, and by the time his father finds him, they are trapped in a store that has closed for the night.
My guess is the nickname Rory came from the fact that as a little girl, Rory had trouble pronoucning the letter "L" and a failed attempt at saying "Lorelei" sounded like "Rory."
Naturally it's a father and son who aren't getting along. I'm willing to bet money the reason they are in the toy store has something to do with the father's job. Over the course of the night, they form a bond and learn to love each other.
I think killing her off between movies makes the most sense. At least they aren't going to recast her, which I was worried about.
Maybe that's next.
At least as KITT he got some great lines.
Thank you! I was trying to figure out how to make that type of joke.
Block Party Summer on Nickatnite.
That's fair. I totally agree that it was popuar and had an influence on style/fashion, but it was not groundbreaking television. It was fluff, but high quality fluff.
I thought I was the only one who was lost/had forgotten something.
You're right E! would be a much better fit for this show.
This may be a matter of taste (I promise I'm not judging you. People like different kinds of shows, and that's totally cool.) I remember watching the show week to week and being excited to see what would happen next, but it wasn't a big deal if I missed an episode. I might tape an episode if I knew I was going to be…
This could be a great game show for Comedy Central. They need something at 11:30. The host would ask the contestants about celebrities behaving badly. Of these 5 things, which 3 did celebrity X do. There could be a round that's match the celebrity to the thing they did.
My math skills suck. Is this the one where you find the lowest common denominator or was that for something else?
They did a sequel, which is different from a remake.
They tried and it lasted for maybe 6 episodes, if that.
A good chunk of millennials watched "Friends" in first run, so it isn't like it's an older show millennials discovered for the first time and think is amazing.
I want a caper/con/heist movie. I want to see Lando, Han and Chewie being awesome and doing space pirate stuff.
