In the original series his friend Jack Dalton was a pilot.

I would watch that.

Just to make sure I understand the show, is Momcop and The Gays about a single mother who is a police officer trying to raise her gay sons?

Jack's love life happened off-screen and what happened in the past were frequently mentioned. I think it's funnier to imagine what happened. In 22 minutes, they didn't have time to show whatever crazy thing Jack was referencing.

Could you please post the "West Wing" tie-in? I looked on youtube and couldn't find it.

The character could have a PhD in Philosophy, but was really interested in science and took some biology courses, maybe even double majored.

The move might not be about money. My guess is that the Professor was denied tenure, and this was a teaching job that would allow him to pay the bills.

This seems more special guest star of the week to teach us all a valuable life lesson but that we will never see or hear from again.

I didn't notice that at all. Thanks for explaining what he thought the problem was.

That's right. She wanted to do movies and develop her own show, which she knew she couldn't do if she was the host.

She's just talented really talented. This clip from 2013, which is shortly after she started on the show, made me love her work and want to see more of her on the show.

If he'd mentioned Bengahzi, I would've won the debate night bingo game I was playing.

That was my theory for awhile too. He figured this would be something fun to do during the summer that would let him raise his profile and then when fall came he'd go back to his show. It's like a version of "The Producers" gone horribly, horribly wrong.

My understanding is that she indicated to the producers that she didn't want the job because she wanted to be able to pursue other things like movies or developing her own television show, which she would not be able to do if she was the host.

Butter. That was easy.

Serious question. Was the name Lightning McQueen in "Cars" supposed to be a reference to how much Steve McQueen liked cars/racing? Keep in mind, I didn't get the joke about the VW Bus being named Filmore until I was almost in the parking lot after the movie.

This the AV Club. The AV Club should not be covering SportsBall, unless someone makes a cameo on a show. I'm okay with coverage of Super Bowl commercials, but that's it.

That would have been awesome.

Yes! I loved that shimmie. It was like, "Okay. Game on. Let's do this."

What Trump said (if we're thinking of the same thing) was a major run on sentence where the different clauses did not connect to each other at all.
