The crazy thing is that Shazad Latif talked about how they used makeup instead of CGI in the process of developing Hyde's physical appearance. I'm guessing the scene was cut.

The severe lack of development for Jekyll was only a little better than killing him off IMO. He was more or less a glorified extra.

Dr. Jekyll didn't appear in the trailer. You may be have seen Christian Camargo's character Dr. Sweet.
