It would be nice if there was just an appraise only option, maybe in game at Town Hall or Nook’s Homes

One thing I’ve learned from working in-game customer support for a videogame company is: never underestimate a player’s ability to absolutely screw themselves over beyond any hope of recovery. If there is a way to ruin everything you have worked for players will find it and pursue it as quickly as possible.
