Underrated comment, this is a very good point you make.
Damn, that is an incredibly rough place. I’ll be honest, your husband sounds like... ehhh, not the greatest. If he thinks his behavior is reasonable and you think it’s very abusive, that is a miles-long distance to grapple with and figure out. I hope your therapist is a good one who listens and is not dismissive.
God he’s gross.
500 Days of Kristin was high-quality journalism I only intermittently appreciated at the time. But oh, that chef-kiss-perfect punchline at the end.
Oh my god. That’s appalling. I mean it sucks anytime to face something that major, but due to substandard care/substandard communication is just... next level. I don’t know if you’re from the USA but man, this kind of thing is why we need single payer right the fuck now. Yesterday would be good.
I for one am glad we’re revisiting how much this guy sucks.
My thought exactly. Snickers won’t cure that kind of hangry.
Would you mind sharing what life altering side effect you’re facing due to the inconsistent medical care?
Ugh, this is such a good comment. Sickening, but so important. They’re never going to stop. They’re just going to keep stripping away.
Thank you for signal boosting this, I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise.
YES. ‘Let your junk breathe at night’ (it was 30 years ago, I don’t remember his actual words) is possibly the best advice my dad has ever given me.
That is one amazing burn
I had to triple check the byline because I was sure this had to be the Onion, possibly Clickhole.
I love Peter Quill, am meh on Chris Pratt, and feel compelled to say that the GotG are waaaaaay better in their own movies than A:IW. Really, both GotG 1 and 2 are fun, solid films.
Same reaction here. Cause it was a little too on-the-nose maybe? It was trying SO hard to be sexy and intriguing but it wasn’t that successful, so there was kind of a large expanse of fail to land in. The mark was very widely missed, leaving me with a whole lotta ‘blech.’ I like some of Christina Aguilera’s stuff and…
I did EMDR some years ago and did find it useful. It’s generally recommended for treatment of PTSD. I don’t think it matters whether the PTSD is from a short-term or long-term experience. However, take my words with a grain of salt because this is knowledge from years ago and EMDR was still kind of an emerging thing…
Or we push through the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact in enough states so that the popular vote winner will win the electoral college. Maybe if we get enough statehouses turned blue in November. Don’t tell me it’ll never happen, please and thank you. I need to keep hope alive rn.
You have made me nearly gag with ten words. I’m a little impressed, also a little nauseated. I used to like food, once.
