I actually found it really fun and satisfying at the time. The only thing I didn’t like much about the game was how they ended it, felt a little sloppy/rushed at the end.

Just FYI, you can send Joycons to Nintendo for free repairs. It takes time but I got mind back within 2 weeks. Sent three of them in and they all came back like-new. They know the problem.

Commuting takes SO MUCH out of you. I did the 40 minute commute to and from work around Indy back 15 years ago and swore never again, can’t imaging how people do even longer commutes.

I love Culver’s as a whole but I have two major issues with them. I can’t eat the butterburgers because they are waaaaaaaaay oversalted to me, and WHY do they give you the ice cream first when you still have to wait 5-10 minutes for your food.

Frankly the best part of it was the built-in TV remote. Never had to find a TV remote the whole time I had the console!

Honestly most Mario characters are empty tropes on purpose to match to the “player input” philosophy. Luigi manages to rise above that just a smidge.

Yeah this was a very strange ending for someone expecting a more traditional ending, but it was fully true to the Zelda themes even before they were truly developed.

Same! Honestly I picked up Mario Wii U Deluxe at Christmas time and I consistently bemoan how much frustration is packed in that game compared to 3D World. Interesting how people come to different conclusions. 3D World is one of my favorite, if not my absolutely favorite, Mario games.

I like the game! I too quit when the game slowed down and the grinding picked up. I’d love to play a streamlined “release” of it but that will never come. Ah well.

I have not played that one yet. I am a relative series newbie given that I’ve only played parts or all of 6 titles, but I have found the series both wonderfully laid back and delightful. I still have many of them on my to-play list.

Nintendo fixes them for free.

Celeste’s soundtrack is perfect for any day! It’s easily my favorite platformer of all time, manages to do so much just perfectly.

I’d say 3D World is its own thing. It’s definitely the all-time best multiplayer Mario experience imo. It’s more of a traditional platformer, but in 3D, as opposed to a 3D platformer, but that’s not a criticism. It uses (with a few exceptions) contained 3D spaces to create fun yet fair platforming experiences.
