Please give me some age-appropriate strategy games from 2 to 9! I have ideas and a couple of games I’ve tried, but it’s hard to find something in the right sweet spot. My daughters like board games but I haven’t centered in on anything that has been phenomenal strategy-wise yet, save maybe Carcassone for the 5 year

Eh, I’d still consider it a valid starting point. I think we agree on the endpoint of automation, but you’re not going to start a revolution overnight, and the vast majority of America is still too opposed to the concept of UBI to get one anyway. Putting SOMETHING in place at least accommodates people to the notion.

The only question I have is cost. It’s pretty much a non-starter for me at the moment with my current internet, but even if that resolves itself, I’m not a fan of paying full price for stream-only games. But I’m kind of ancient in that way, I still hate buying digital most of the time too.

I can’t even get internet to work across my apartment.

Is this the same Albanese that makes the dark chocolate toffees I get at Fresh Thyme? Because oh man do I love me some of that 16.99/pound.

I love toffee in almost every form, but yeah, Heath Bars just aren’t that good. :/

Also true for low-sugar Reese’s, as my brothers found out one day.

And now I know why they would always joke about how they were going to get sued whenever they made a reference in Hayate no Gotoku.

Yeah, this man is in for a good year.

Yeah, I just meant the name haha.

I’ve always found the terminology to be inconsistent over the years. A weird genre that didn’t seem to coalesce.

I think the problem with it, if I had to suppose, is that you kind of have to think about the graphics for them to be cool. Like an object may look dull but then when you give it actual attention, you notice “oh hey, that’s actually a milk carton with some stickers and other adornments.” It’s hard to do that while

While I agree that the level of detail is amazing and there are tons of “wow, that’s cool moments,” overall the vibe felt a bit flat to me while playing the demo, especially in relation to Woolly World. I don’t know why. Maybe other stages will brighten it up for me!

There’s a pretty clear difference made, generally, between certain Jewish leaders of the day, many of whom were openly compromising with the Romans or primarily concerned with status, and the general Jewish population. And there is a mix of each, with Nicodemus a leader who came to believe, and towns that openly

I was a little shocked anyone at this site would approve that headline for exactly that reason.

Huh, that is an...unusual decision. Still, I’m sure Square could buy them back if it was worth it to them.

I’m saying Square can separate their IP pretty cleanly at this point from Disney, and the franchise would probably be stronger for it at this point. That said, it might not sell as well, so there’s that to consider too. A lot of people buy it just for the Disney.

Yeah the Aqua/Ventus/Terra resolution was incredibly...less satisfying than it should’ve been. It wasn’t terrible, but I really expected they would play a bigger role at the end, and that we’d see a definitive difference between Aqua as a keyblade master and the other fighters.

World design is really, really hit and miss in this game, but the Pirates worlds is one of the standouts. Honestly, KH has outgrown the need for Disney as a franchise, and it shows. It feels like they tried to keep all the Disney in till the end of this one despite putting minimal effort into some areas, and we’ll see
