I thought the same. Thought the ball was a bit overthrown.

I thought DDD had some of the most fun, best gameplay in the series. Story, though...man I think they jumped the shark in DDD. Fortunately, I don’t know that the story in DDD really matters at all to the overarching plot!

Watched it again last night. Still love it!
That’s a different problem than mine. My bracket is getting loose, so I lose the connection while playing in handheld mode periodically. :/
Mine is already going bad on the left side. :(
I think that’s exactly the question the show is raising? Seems like that’s exactly what Michael is arguing.
She’s got to be one of the top 2 or 3 all-timers at this point in video games. Sad that so many people don’t know her.
I’m just angry that I can’t repeatedly flatten Jigglypuff anymore like I’ve done since Melee because it’s now associated with teabagging. :/
Mac and Zelda seem to still retain most of their flaws from their already weak Wii U selves, and those are two I’ve consistently seen rated low. Duck Hunt, Bowser Jr, Incineroar all seem to be too slow without the power to match, though heck if Incineroar players aren’t dedicated to their craft. I’ve seen Kirby low a…
It’s not my favorite, but if it can be designed in a way that is strategic and not just an annoyance, it can be a valuable part of the experience. I can’t think of any games offhand that have really nailed this though.
Man, I remember these shows, and some of the random games we’d end up with out of them. Dad picked up his first CDROM drive at the last one I remember going to with him with King’s Quest V. Good memories.
“Far too much money in HD Remasters.”
Why is that weird? It’s not Melee Pichu. People have agreed from the start that Pichu is pretty much at least a Top 20 character. Melee Pichu was terrible and you could probably count the number of Top 100 Pichu finishes at nationals on one hand, if you even needed that much.
That can partially be attributed just to the sheer number of characters in the game too, which creates more opportunities for hard counters and bad/unknown matchups to regularly upend characters that will become higher tier options as the meta develops. I certainly agree that the balance is better here than it’s ever…
No, some characters are inherently flawed in ways that are nearly impossible to overcome. But only at the pro level, don’t worry about casual play haha.
Also speaks to the earlyness of the whole effort, though. The tier list stretches out over time, it’s barely been a month and there’s only been a tiny number of events.
For now, yep! Gunner is my jam, and Swordsman is getting a lot of positivity at the moment.
Play who you like! If you’re not playing in tournaments, there’s no reason to obsess about tier lists haha, they’re just an interesting theory exercise.
There’s truth in what you say, but the first tier list put together by the “pros” in Melee had Sheik/Fox/Falco as the best 3 characters, and I’m pretty certain none of them ever dropped out of the Top 5-6 over the game’s long and storied lifespan. That was when all play was live and the meta developed at 3% the speed…
