I'm surprised you mentioned del Toro's movies Hellboy and Cronos over his most acclaimed work, Pan's Labyrinth. It really is an amazing movie; I can't wait for Insane. del Toro is so talented.

Perhaps Valve would be more sympathetic to the concerns of the morbidly obese.

"Who is supposed to be war"? What?

That video was awful. It basically highlighted how they were distracted and couldn't pay attention because of the screen they constantly had to stare down to.

Aww, he's not leaving Nintendo. For a moment I thought we might actually see development on Nintendo's core series, rather than continually rehashed Zelda and no-plot Mario games.

The voiceacting and facial expressions in the video really killed it for me. Action looks good, though. Why do games keep focusing on technical graphics, and completely ignoring presentation? It's so distracting seeing awkward, cardboard doll animations and lifeless faces/eyes in story cutscenes.

Cute!

Star Trek Online was pretty decent, but it was released with no end-game content. Zero. And the "other faction," the Klingons, had almost no content. They were basically expected to level up through PVP alone, whereas the Federation side could quest all the way up to max. They, like virtually every other MMO maker,…

A subjective statement like that already implies it is the writer's opinion; you don't need to add "in my opinion." Stupid post.

Too bad EchoChrome 2 won't enjoy a boost in sales because of this article, seeing as how PSN is *still* down.

Absolutely correct. Only laypeople with more money than sense buy "high-end" (i.e., pre-assembled for a 300-1000% markup) computers.

That is not teal.

This is mostly an interesting article, but describing the Japanese as not having any hangups about sex or sexuality is patently false. Japanese youth are often extremely awkward, shy and have insane trouble being direct about their feelings.

There have been loads of Chinese immigrants for ages; they created the Chinatowns, not Americans who loved Chinese culture. There are also more than 10x as many Chinese people than Japanese in the world.

This is abject BS. You don't have to upgrade a gaming PC every couple of months. You know why? Because modern graphics cards, as this article says, are an order of magnitude more powerful than the current demands of generation of games—because they've been held back by developers catering to consoles.

I trust: Valve, Bethesda, Blizzard, DoubleFine.

Games like Sins of a Solar Empire have already shown that a game can/will be highly successful, regardless of whether it can be pirated or not, and heavy protection turns people off (see: Spore, Settlers 7, AC1/2, Mass Effect, etc).
