It was Blizzard’s idea. This has been partially implemented since Cataclysm, 4 years ago.

They’ve had this system implemented for about 4 years. You could access Timewalker scaled instances in some fucky manner but it wasn’t available normally until now.

I’ve been playing for 10 years. Wife has been playing for 5. It’s had good times, it’s had bad times, but it’s still solid and the best MMO available.
