@Hyetal: Thanks for the tip. That helps.
Slightly off topic, but sticking with the network icon theme.
While I haven't used this installer to make the drive, I've been using the USB install method for about a month on new installs at my work and home. It works VERY well. Windows 7 installs in about 13 minutes from start to finish.
I have 8 to hand out.

I'm betting the George Foreman grill will work very similar. Might work better if you don't want that waffle pattern on the cookies. #foodhacks
@wjglenn: I've been using PureText for a while also. I think I've left it at the default of Win+V for paste. I thought the software was featured here on Lifehacker, that's how I found out about it.
Now how odd is it that less than 1 minute after reading this, "Blinded By The Light" came on the radio?
@Kyle Barron-Kraus: Just had this happen at my work, and we would have paid $100 to get the phone back. To replace a lost iPhone isn't just $99, it's $299 because you're not getting a new contract with AT&T at the time, so you have to pay the full price for the new phone.
Does anyone know if I'm running the RC now, and when I get the real authorization code, will I be able to just put that in and keep running, or will I have to reinstall the OS?
@Tim Henson Queers Me _GitEmSteveDave: I don't know about waterproof, but this might work. [www.thinkgeek.com]
Best one I did was take the small post-it notes and stick them under every one of my user's mouse. Worked on a roller mouse and optical mouse. Not noticeable, and when they all picked up the mouse, there was a little note that said "April Fools".
@avman9000: Probably for the same reason it's not [youtube.net] or youtube.org
@LaneLester: Have you tried Celestia on Ubuntu? It should be an available download on the add programs.
@kamikazejoe: AMEN! I have a Treo 700p, and I hate the web browser (Blazer). To get Opera Mini to work, you have to install the outdated Java plugin for Palm, and that's a huge pita, and it doesn't always work right.
@blorro: When I was messing around with Ubuntu 8.04, I used this [www.longren.org] to install and configure Cisco VPN to connect to my work. It worked just fine for me at the time. I have no idea if it works on recent builds.
What about numbers comparing XP to Windows 7?

I choose the last option. If it takes me more than 15 minutes, I charge the time.
