Killing Pharmercy is the best Overwatch change I’ve seen since Roadhog’s hook/one shot got nerfed (even though it’s still an absolute low-skill menace).

Man, as a support main, the new DPS and all heroes passives make me feel absolutely neutered. Jesus.
I’m completely in support of this move; watching Musk find fresh, dumb ways to burn money is a newfound hobby of mine.
Yep. I was playing in season 1 and it’s always been such a confusingly opaque system. I hope they do actually improve it as planned...
As someone who has recently had three “rank adjustments” as tank in Overwatch 2 with something like a 15-11 record and not seen a movement in my rank at all...I can’t help but be jealous. If I had played terribly but just eked out wins, I’d get it, but that’s not been the case. Just knowing WHY would help so much.
I think only one of the jumpscares in the game actually “got” me (like about dropped my controller got me), but in a game I otherwise really enjoyed, I found the jumpscares cuts to be mostly annoying more than anything.
It’s an incredibly old stereotype that dates back to former slaves using watermelon crops as a means to get by post-slavery. The embrace of the crop was then used to denigrate and stereotype the African Americans.
Fried chicken and watermelon are very well-known racist stereotypes. Like...some of the most well-known negative stereotypes about African Americans dating back to the Civil War. You not being aware of it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be moderated. Some imagery could be questionable, but the specific examples you’ve cited…
It’s probably because I’m a support main, but my knee-jerk reaction is that I hate this idea. I just don’t understand what benefit it possibly has? The reason given is -
I think what I want most is for it to tie into the rest of the Star Wars fiction as little as possible. And I’m a huge Star Wars fan! Seen all of Clone Wars and Rebels and love that stuff. But I enjoy The Mandalorian way more when he is meeting all these new characters, fighting new creatures, visiting new locales.
That’s a pleasant surprise!
In order:
Portal 2. It just perfectly expanded upon every facet of what made the first game great.
I’ll never understand it personally. Skins are fun enough, but not something I’d pay money for. Since the arrival of horse armor ages ago, I’ve spent money on a single skin - the Pink Mercy skin in Overwatch for which all the proceeds went to charity.
My most anticipated game of the year. I can’t wait to dive in (headfirst from a tall skyscraper)!
I’m in total agreement. They had already been picking away at what made her interesting, but the change to the Translocator really just kills my interest in playing her much. Maybe it’ll feel better than I imagine, but she may have just dropped from my choice pool.
I’d flip Memento with The Prestige, but otherwise I agree with the list. Which I guess means I need to go see Oppenheimer ASAP.
Yep. Came to the comments to post the very same. I’d put this at #1 with a bullet! Was surprised I didn’t see it on the list.
Ugh. I’m really, really excited for this game, but this is the opposite of a selling point for me. I’m exhausted thinking about it.
Yep. She’s nowhere near as fun as she used to be. Sounds like this adjustment is a change in the right direction at least.
