Hmm... nope, didn’t work. just made a flooded ice rink out of a windshield.

Specifically, he won LeMans in the factory GTLM Corvette, not his Dad’s DP Corvette, so he can drive without his brother and Dad for sure.
You don’t live in a place with common ice storms I take it? Ask a person from Buffalo NY, and they will remind you that a defroster on full will not thaw the windshield and wipers at all if there is 1/2" if ice on it.
I was in San Fran this past September and was laughing at the people wearing clothing that is not worn in Toronto till December, and then thought the same thing... How else do you justify the mooseknuckle coat and Kodiak boot purchase? Aspen?
You drive a Bronco? Cool. :)
The DPs were heavier, and as weird as this might sound, it helped them get the tires up to temp faster that the LMP2 cars. It was really clear in some races how much of an advantage this was by the end of the race. I just wished there was some way to save the Viper... It was my favorite of the GTLM, and when even Ben…
At some point auto manufacturers reach this idea that they need to be in all markets competing for the big prize of premium sales. I don’t understand this though. If you make a product, and it’s sold well in some markets, why would you branch out to other markets that you don’t have the capital in?
I’m no mathematician, but if we are talking around 600-800 bhp V8, clocked at 208Mph, one would have to assume increased fuel injectors? Say a flow of 1000cc? Now look at the size of the gas tank, and see how fast does it take to clear out a 16 gallon gas tank (hint, the Boss 302 advertised MPG for city driving was 17…
2014 Mitsubishi EVO X. Everytime my wife is losing an argument, out comes the “and you bought that STUPID CAR, that can’t even hold anything in the trunk!”
I’ve just read this editorial for the 3rd time, and I want my wife to read it. Not because I want her to be more like Maggie (just not going to happen), but because I want her to understand why I thought it was a good use of my time to take the wheels off my EVO, and put a bit more grease on the back of my brake…
and the required Calvin pissing on a Ford oval on the back windshield?
Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t the Denver Int’l Airport have a movie theater in it? I’m not stealing the idea, just mentioning it is 15 year old
Corvette and Porsche are factory teams. Chip Ganassi and Multimatic are private, but heavily supported by Ford.
Don’t forget, the car was tested at Calabogie motorsport park outside of Ottawa for weeks before the reveal, and no one knew about it!
Corvette Daytona Prototypes (midengine) look very similar to the Ford GT now... remove some of the downforce, and I could see it legal for some idiot to crash out of a cars and coffee event near you.
Not entirely true. Chip Ganassi has been running this engine for the past two years in a Daytona Prototype in the IMSA. It’s performance was inline with LMP2 cars (which is all that is allowed in that series now - I miss the Muscle Milk LMP1), but they planned on this for quite some time.
It would be better, except this car probably couldn’t do the corkscrew (carousel is on the ring, not MLS) because of the twisty frame under that body... TVR doesn’t have the best record for stable subframes to go with the power.
As long as Mitsubishi is synonymous with this:
What a great opening picture... it couldn’t say “I just destroyed my legacy” any better if he was hit in the face... by a clown. With a rubber chicken.
Every two weeks I do a 5 hour drive to see my son and come back on Sunday night. I can truly say that while the fuel economy could be better, an EVO X is comfortable enough for the drive. Plus it’s extra fun in the winter.
