If you are studying GIS, definitely no. Esri doesn't care, DOTs don't care, banking/insurance doesn't care, basically, no one cares. And if you already have a job and want to host some wacky project, why are you naming it after yourself?

Any suggestions on how to make a really skinny headband more comfortable (yet not look completely ridiculous? I have a 6 year old pair of Bose headphones that still sound great, but dig into my head when I wear them for a long period of time (about an hour maybe). The band is so skinny though (with two sharp plastic

I mean functionality; the keys are far less forgiving than other keyboards. I find that they are too small and too far apart for comfortable typing (they took away key surface to add to the gaps). I don't see any good reason for them to have done that.

I love the idea, but I hate that design of keyboard. This is essentially a Bluetooth version of the K360 (without a number pad), and I can't stand typing on that one. Grr.

It's actually the other way around. When a photo is oversaturated, you have already lost the required details to get it back to normal. The negative is much easier to edit, since you have all the details and way more realistic colors. I very much doubt that kid was orange.

I forgot to mention my opinion, but here it is: No beans, because Sheldon says so.

That's exactly what it is. Profiles are awesome for devs (they are in the dev branch as well, and I thought I'm all of them). I still have the cupcake from when they were first introduced, and it always throws people off.

I see it as the exact same thing. People now have come to expect version numbers, so Microsoft is just using different naming. There is no difference inherent difference between the service packs and Windows 8.1. Obviously, the distribution is also different, but that's because that is also now easier and expected.

This tip doesn't actually get me back to what I had before. In reality, I was a still a version behind before, where I had one single inbox that displayed all my mail (gasp!). Anyway, I had that super-optimized with filters and labels. As far as I know, there is no way to get that one back. I would be happy if Gmail

It's not as common, but it has definitely happened before. Windows XP SP2 was a huge update with a bunch of new features (SP1 also had a few). It was such a big deal, in fact, that they released CDs of SP2 that you could pick up for free at Staples, Office Max, etc.

I'm assuming this is yet another of those updates that will take weeks for everyone to have. What is the point of these gradual rollouts again?

I'm pretty sure that comparable toothbrushes are cheaper than $5 at the store. I usually get a Colgate two-pack for $6.

I just built a computer for $450, but I still plan on spending another $150 or so eventually for it. This one should last me a while.

Wait, when you say "typing in someone's phone number just opens up a text chat with them", what exactly is happening? Does it send an SMS to that person? Does it send a Hangouts invite? Does it only work for contacts that are already using Hangouts (against Google's list of verified numbers)?

I just tried both XFCE and Unity. XFCE works very well and fast, but it is so ugly. Unity, surprisingly, works equally as well. It doesn't seem any slower, even with all the animations, transparency, etc. It looks like it will be sticking around. I also tried some programs (Gimp, LibreOffice) and everything is pretty

I guess I'll get back to you again. I have Alex (the original Samsung one), so anything will be slow. Although, it's supposedly on par with the ARM version, and I've heard great things about Crouton on the ARM Chromebook.

Two question:

Then who is going to tell us how the Pixel handles Angry Birds? My Chromebook does not really stand up to the task.

Is it really unethical, since you got it at a conference as a known gift? It's one thing if Google found you personally and just gave it to you, but it is a totally different thing when you went to a paid conference, knowing that there will be a hardware giveaway. I've seen various company policies around this, but

Does it bother anyone else that in the "cup with friends" part at the end, the black person is the only one to have a black computer?
