If anybody wants to get into a really decent fountain pen for cheap, allow me to suggest the Pilot Metropolitan. I also have a Lamy Safari, and it’s given me nothing but grief. I liked my Metro so much I bought a second one.

No fountain pens? Since the ink flows to the paper through capillary action you don’t need to apply any pressure, you just need to make contact with the paper. I also feel they are faster than ball points.

Be careful not to cheap out on ink though. Mine gunked up really bad because the ink turned gummy.

I’ll only believe it’s a Hitchhiker’s Guide reference if there was a bowl of petunias somewhere nearby.

Is it moddable?

I use Signal which provides secure alternative messaging with other Signal users. The SMS interface is as I’d expect. It also has a nice “mark all as read” notification feature.

Reduced fat is even worse.
